I think work-life balance is more important than ever. While I am very passionate about what I do in the business world, I also care deeply about several other causes. Take a moment to read about the underlying reasons as to what keeps me motivated in life.
Breast Cancer Awareness
Breast Cancer is a cause near and dear to my family. My mother-in-law, Marie, was a two-time survivor of breast cancer. Her courageous battle was very much representative of her perseverance and ability to overcome any obstacle. My wife, Becky, worked for our local health department as a case manager for the Breast and Cervical Cancer Project (BCCP). BCCP is a grant-funded program that provides screening and diagnostic procedures for low-income, under-insured women. Awareness contributes to increased screening and treatment. Our passion for the Fight Against Breast Cancer is just part of who we are.

Spectrum Art and Music Festival
Spectrum Art and Music Festival began as Rock for Autism. Rock for Autism was a fundraising event that started as a fun way for local high school students to raise money for a good cause. It has grown to be an annual event featuring bands including the Verve Pipe, Dragon Wagon, The Fling, and Match City. For almost a decade, I helped with corporate sponsorship with proceeds from this annual event benefit The Autism Society of Northwest Ohio, whose mission is to improve the lives of all affected by autism.

Pike-Delta-York Local School District Foundation
The Pike-Delta-York Local School District Foundation was established in December of 2009 to promote and encourage education in the PDY Local School District by providing financial support to various programs of the primary and secondary schools of the District, including but not limited to scholastic, athletic, alumni, parent/teacher and extra-curricular programs. This 501(c)3 tax-exempt corporation is governed by a five member board of directors. I served as President for over a decade leading the Foundation as we offered financial assistance to our school and community.

Delta Village Park Board
The Village of Delta is a small town with approximately 3,000 residents, located in Northwest Ohio. Delta is a great place to live because of the people. Everywhere you turn, there are community members willing to give their time, talents, and treasures to make this a better place. Delta's Village Council asked me to serve on the Park Board and I gladly accepted (served 5 a year term). Park Board Members offer guidance to the Village Administration on park facilities for use by athletic leagues, clubs, and the general public.
