WHITE PAPERSA white paper is an essay intended to fully inform the reader on a particular topic. It allows the reader to understand an issue, solve a problem, or make a decision. I searched to see why they are called 'white papers'. There is a story of 19th century British Parliament reports with blue covers that were called Blue Papers. In time they used white covers so the reports eventually became White Papers.

Why DO I write white papers?I represent several manufacturing companies and each of them have niche products or capabilities. Writing white papers helps me highlight their unique capabilities that could educate a reader or provide a cost effective solution to a problem.
